Tan Jianci (檀健次) better known by his stage name Kenji, is a Chinese pop singer and occasional actor. He is the youngest member of the Chinese idol group M.I.C.


Jianci was born in Beihai, Guangxi, China on 5 October 1990. From 1997 to 2002 he studied at the third primary Beihai, and in 2003 he was admitted to High School of Beijing Dance Academy where he learned Ballroom dance. In 2006, he participated in two tournaments, the National Dance Sport Championships Professional - Latin Modern (where he finished in 5th place) and the World Grand Prix Finals in Shanghai – IDSF (4th place). In 2007, he was admitted to the Beijing Sport University Art department, and in August he started to shoot Zhang Yibai’s movie Lost Indulgence (秘岸). In 2009, as an M.I.C member, he and the other members participated in MIGU Star Academy. After 5 – 6 months of competition on MIGU (in March 26, 2010), MIC won the Star Academy Finals.


Jianci made his acting debut on Zhang Yibai’s movie Lost Indulgence. The film is a family drama about the relationship between a mother and her son (Jiang Wenli and Tan Jianci) after the sudden death of the father (Eric Tsang). Lost Indulgence navigated a complicated series of schedules and cancellations before it was allowed to screen abroad at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2008. In 2017, he played Sima Zhao in The Advisors Alliance (A Chinese TV series).
